11U GLORY TEAM NEWS
Congrats to the TN GLORY 11U team, Runner-ups at the SouthEast Challenge hosted by TN Team Pride in Murfreesboro, TN. The team faced the GA Pistols, TN Heat and Team Pride over the weekend. After defeating Team Pride, the 2008 11U State Champions, in a hard fought semi-final game, the team fell to the GA Pistols in the Championship game. It was great weekend of basketball, with excellent competition and venues.
Congratulations to the TN Glory 11U team for winning the AAU south middle sub-state tournament in Shelbyville, TN. This tournament win qualifies the team to participate in the 2008 AAU State Championships, May 9 - 11 in Murfreesboro, TN.

TN GLORY 11U team wins the 'Think Pink' tournament in support of the fight against breast cancer. The team went undefeated to become the 11U Champs of the tournament. The TN GLORY would like to thank and recognize the Memphis Lady Tarheels for hosting such a great event to support the fight against Breast cancer.
11U TN GLORY finish 2nd at the TN 11U AAU State Championships!!
The TN Glory 11U team competed in their first AAU State tournament May 9 - 11.
The team started the tournament with pool play Friday evening, by out scoring the Memphis Select by 38 points. Saturday the team started out slow in their second pool play game, but played an inspirational second half to beat the TN Stars by 18 points. The third game in pool play against the defending State Champions Team TN Pride, the team slipped to a 20 point deficit and were unable to close the gap against the Pride.
After finishing second in pool the GLORY faced the #1 team from the opposite pool, the KGC Lady Pride. After a classic back-and-forth battle, the GLORY out paced the KGC team with a hard fought 45-41 victory. This victory sealed a minimum of a 2nd place in the State of TN.
Saturday’s victory placed the TN GLORY in their first AAU State Championship. The team faced the TN Team Pride again for the State title but fell short of their quest for the title. The GLORY’s second place finished has proven to be a great accomplishment for this first year team. Now it’s on the AAU National Championships in Branson, MO.
