Tennessee Education and Athletics of Memphis (T.E.A.M.)

Wishes to thank the players, coaches and parents for participating in the inaugural Holiday Classic middle school tournament at J.P. Freeman. The event proved to be a match-up some of the most dominant middle school teams in the Memphis and Shelby county areas. The athletes displayed their competitive prowess, with such outstanding performance by Tia Wooten & Janeka Williams (Snowden), Jasmine Cincore (Shadowlawn), Brandi Beasley & Adrania Sanders (Collierville), Brianna Mitchell, Quinesha Farmer & Kalynn Parks (Germantown). Keep an eye out for these talented young ladies, they’ll soon be on the varsity HS scene. These teams will be strong contenders for the upcoming city, county, district and state titles. Congratulations to Coach Haynes and the Snowden team for going 3-0 and capturing the overall title.

Next years event will again feature some of the areas top City & County middle school teams, along with teams from Arkansas, Mississippi and Ohio. Coaches mark your calendars for Dec. 18 – 20, 2009 for one of the mid-south areas most competitive middle school basketball events.
